Dueling pianos in Incline Village & the North Shore
Incline Village hosts some of the most private parties at the lake: lakefront homes, beach clubs, resort ballrooms and summer evenings that run late on the deck. We bring a full two-piano show to the Nevada side of the North Shore, with our own sound and lighting and a set list that comes entirely from your guests.
Lakefront and estate parties
Lakefront homes and large estates often have a natural stage: a terrace, a boathouse deck or a great room with a view. We plan the layout from photos, keep cables out of sight, and scale the sound for a property where sound carries across the water.
Corporate retreats and conferences
The North Shore draws leadership retreats and conference groups. Modern Dueling Pianos played Asset Living's convention at the Peppermill in Reno, and we know how to fit a show into a conference agenda: a firm start time, clean content, a mic for presenters, and a big finish that sends the room out happy.
A solo option for receptions
For a cocktail reception or welcome dinner, James Michael Day plays solo piano and vocals. He played a solo show for DTC's Title Sales Mastery conference at the Atlantis Casino Reno. His signature piano karaoke is another option for a relaxed after-party.
Summer weddings on the North Shore
Summer and early fall bring weddings to the North Shore. We can play cocktail-hour piano near the water, then move into the full dueling show for the reception. Send your first-dance or entrance songs ahead and we will learn them.
Getting there
Incline Village is reached from Reno over the Mount Rose Highway or around the lake from Truckee. Winter dates get extra travel time, and we watch the forecast and stay in touch with your planner.
Requests for a mixed crowd
North Shore guest lists often come from all over the country. Expect Billy Joel and Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, the Beach Boys on a summer night by the lake, a run of 80s hits and current pop for the younger crowd, all decided by request.
