Dueling pianos in Stockton, Modesto & Lodi
From Lodi winery patios to Modesto company parties and Stockton fundraisers, the Central Valley throws great events. We bring them a full dueling piano show: two pianist-singers trading songs, guests running the setlist, and our own sound and lighting.
Wineries and outdoor events
Our rig is built to go outdoors. Garden patios, vineyard lawns and barrel rooms all work with standard power.
Country to classic rock
Valley crowds request everything, from George Strait and Garth to Journey and Billy Joel. We play it all, back to back.
Festivals and fundraisers
We keep auctions and announcements moving and fill the gaps with songs everyone can sing.
Local nights you can visit
James plays regular solo and karaoke nights around Lodi and Woodbridge, including Stogies Lounge in Lodi and Woodbridge Crossing, and the Modern Dueling Pianos team played two shows at New Melones Marina in summer 2026. If you want to hear us before you book, those rooms are a short drive from Stockton and Modesto.
A show built for the Valley
Valley events often bring together three generations. A Modesto anniversary party might want Merle Haggard, Motown and the latest country hit all in one hour. A Stockton company picnic needs songs everyone can sing. We know those requests and play them back to back, so nobody waits too long for their song.
Wineries and the Lodi appellation
Lodi's wineries host club parties, harvest events and weddings. Dueling pianos are a good fit for a crush party or a release weekend: we start with relaxed music during the tasting and finish with the whole lawn singing.
Fundraisers, FFA and community nights
Schools, booster clubs and nonprofits around San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties use dueling pianos to boost auctions. We hype the paddle raise, announce sponsors, and tips from requests can be donated straight to your cause if you want.
Setup and space
Indoors or out, we need a level area about 16 by 12 feet and standard power. Grange halls, barns, backyards and hotel ballrooms in Stockton and Modesto all work.
Planning tips for Valley events
Summer evenings are the best time for outdoor parties in Stockton, Lodi and Modesto, so plan a later start and some shade for the stage. For barns and halls, check where the power outlets are and whether they share a circuit with catering equipment. For fundraisers, let us know your auction order and sponsor names in advance so we can mention them by name. If you are not sure whether to book a solo pianist or the full two-piano show, tell us your guest count and the vibe you want, and we will recommend the option that fits your budget.
What a Valley crowd requests
Expect Sweet Caroline, Friends in Low Places, Brooks & Dunn, Journey, Garth, Selena, Bon Jovi and a lot of today's country. Families often want a song for every generation in the room, and we are happy to play a Spanish-language favorite, a hometown anthem like Lodi by Creedence Clearwater Revival, or a song a group has been singing together for years. Birthdays, anniversaries and retirements get their own moment on stage if you want one.
Areas we cover
