Dueling pianos in Truckee & North Tahoe

Truckee events happen in big mountain homes, resort ballrooms and timber-frame lodges, often with guests who flew in for a long weekend. A dueling piano show gives that group one night they all share: two pianist-singers, two piano shells, full sound and lighting, and a set list built from your guests' requests.

A wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe

We have played a dueling pianos wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe at Northstar, so resort banquet teams, mountain load-ins and wedding-day timelines up here are familiar to us.

Mountain homes and private clubs

Many Truckee celebrations happen at home, in great rooms with tall windows or on decks facing the ski runs. We look at photos ahead of time to plan for stairs, snow at the door and where two pianos fit with guests gathered around them. Clubhouses and lodges in Martis Valley and Tahoe Donner work well too.

Ski-week and holiday parties

Groups who come up for a ski week or the holidays want a night that is more than another dinner reservation. After a day on the mountain, a two-piano sing-along in the house or lodge is the party people talk about on the drive home. Requests run from the Eagles to Mr. Brightside.

Retreats and offsites

Companies book Truckee and Northstar for leadership retreats and offsites. A closing-night show gives the group a shared moment without a stiff program. We work around dinner, speeches and awards and provide a mic for announcements. We also play private events at The Depot in Reno a couple of times a year, so trips over the hill are routine for us.

Winter travel and summer dates

Winter dates over Donner Summit can mean chain controls on I-80. We plan extra travel time, arrive early, and keep your planner posted on road conditions. Summer brings Donner Lake and outdoor ceremonies, where we plan shade and power ahead.

Solo piano and piano karaoke

For rehearsal dinners, après-ski cocktail hours or smaller gatherings, James Michael Day plays solo piano and vocals, and his signature piano karaoke lets guests take the mic with live piano behind them.

Questions

Do you play the California side of North Tahoe?

Yes. Truckee, Northstar, Olympic Valley, Tahoe City and Kings Beach are all on our map, along with Nevada towns like Incline Village.

What if it snows on our date?

We plan for it. Winter mountain events get extra travel time and a check-in with your planner the day before.

Can you set up in a private home?

Yes, with a clear, level area for two pianos, standard power and a safe path in for the gear.

Do you charge travel to Truckee?

Mountain travel is included in your quote, so there is no surprise line item later.
