Dueling pianos in Sacramento
Sacramento crowds know what they want to hear, and our show is built around that: every song comes from your guests. We bring two pianist-singers, two grand piano shells, our own sound system and lighting, so a hotel ballroom downtown, a Folsom fundraiser or a backyard in Elk Grove all get the same full show.
Close to home
Our co-founder Jason Marion heads the weekly dueling piano show at Mäkse in Vacaville, so Sacramento-area dates are an easy drive for the whole team.
Built for fundraisers
We have played Folsom fundraisers and know how to keep a paddle raise or raffle moving between songs, with an extra mic ready for announcements.
Corporate and holiday parties
Quieter dinner sets early, then the full sing-along once the room is ready. You tell us the rating, from family-friendly to after-hours.
Where you can see us near Sacramento
The easiest way to check us out is a public night at Mäkse in Vacaville, where Jason Marion runs the dueling piano show. We have also played a public fundraiser for Zafia's Family House in Folsom, and James has performed on the California State Fair stage. Come hear the show live, then picture it at your event.
Downtown ballrooms to foothill backyards
Sacramento events cover a lot of ground. A holiday party in a downtown hotel needs a tidy load-in and a set that works around dinner service and speeches. A milestone birthday in El Dorado Hills needs something louder and looser. A Davis alumni event might want songs from the year everyone graduated. We bring the same two pianos, sound and lights to all of them and change the show to fit the room.
How a typical night goes
We arrive early, set up two piano shells with the sound and lighting, and soundcheck before guests come in. During arrivals and dinner we keep it softer, mostly instrumental or easy sing-alongs. Once the plates are cleared, request slips and tips start coming in and the show takes off: two players trading songs, mashing up requests, pulling guests on stage for birthdays and anniversaries, and keeping the energy going until the last song.
Requests that work for everyone
Sacramento crowds are mixed: state workers, tech, ag and university folks, often in the same room. That is exactly what an all-request show is good at. Within one set we might go from Journey to Chris Stapleton to Bruno Mars to a Sinatra standard for the grandparents, all decided by your guests.
Good to know before you book
We can do a clean, family-friendly show, a "PG-13 office party" show, or something looser late at night. Just tell us. If you have a tight schedule with awards, raffles or toasts, send the run-of-show and we will build our sets around it. We also provide an extra mic for announcements.
Planning checklist for Sacramento events
Before you reach out, it helps to know four things: your date, the venue or at least the city, a rough guest count, and how long you want music. If the venue is a hotel or event center, ask about load-in rules, since many downtown buildings require a dock or freight elevator. If it is a private home, think about where two pianos and speakers will fit with guests facing the stage. Send us photos of the space if you are unsure and we will tell you what works. For summer events in the Valley heat, an evening start time keeps guests and gear comfortable. With those answers, we can send an accurate quote quickly and hold your date while you decide.

Can we see you before we book?

What does the venue need to provide?
A level space about 16 by 12 feet and standard power. We bring the pianos, sound and lights.
How much do dueling pianos cost in Sacramento?
It depends on date, length and production. See our dueling pianos cost guide for what affects price, then send us your details for an exact quote.
How long is a show?
Most events book two to four hours. Three hours is the most common for private and corporate parties.
Can you play outdoors?
Yes, with a flat surface, shade or cover for the gear, and standard power.
Do you take requests all night?
Yes. The whole show is built on guest requests, and we play the song you ask for, not a fixed setlist.
