Corporate dueling pianos in San Jose & the Bay Area

Modern Dueling Pianos two-piano setup

Tech offsites, holiday parties, client appreciation nights and conference evenings all need the same thing: something that gets people out of their seats and talking to each other. A dueling piano show does that without anyone having to "network." Guests send requests, we turn them into a two-piano sing-along, and the room connects.

Bay Area roots

Co-founder James Michael Day is a former San Jose Sharks organist and a longtime regular at Lefty O'Doul's in San Francisco. Jason Marion spent years at Johnny Foley's Dueling Piano Bar.

Brand-safe by default

We match the content to your company, can work in your team names, award moments and inside jokes, and keep the show on schedule around speeches.

Self-contained production

Two piano shells, full sound with a subwoofer, lighting, and a wireless mic for your executives, so your AV team has less to manage.

Bay Area stages we know

James is a former San Jose Sharks organist and played SAP Center for years. He spent many nights at Lefty O'Doul's in San Francisco, and Jason Marion played for years at Johnny Foley's Dueling Piano Bar. Today you can catch the Modern Dueling Pianos show at Faith & Spirits in San Carlos on select weekends. Our performed-for list includes PayPal, Google, Meta, Intuit, AppDynamics and Levi's Stadium.

Why dueling pianos work for teams

Corporate entertainment fails when it asks people to sit and watch. A dueling piano show gives them a role: they send requests, sing the chorus, cheer on a coworker who comes up for a song, and argue about whether the next song should be Queen or Taylor Swift. Teams that barely know each other end up with a shared story, which is what most event planners are hoping for.

Fits a corporate schedule

We work with your producer or office manager on timing: arrivals, dinner, the CEO's remarks, awards, and the dance-floor push. We keep the music low during speeches, provide a mic, and can lead the room into a big moment such as a toast, a product reveal or a retirement send-off.

Customizing the show

We can rewrite a chorus with your company name, play team walk-up songs, or build a section around your office's favorite decade. For global teams, we mix in songs that people of every background know.

Venues and logistics

Hotel ballrooms in Santa Clara, rooftop event spaces in San Francisco, office atriums in Palo Alto, and wineries in the South Bay hills all work. We need a level area about 16 by 12 feet and standard power, and we load in through a service entrance on your venue's schedule.

What planners usually ask us

Planners want to know three things: will it run on time, will it be appropriate, and will people actually engage. We arrive early, finish soundcheck before doors, and hit every cue on your timeline. We match the content to your audience, and we will stop or change direction if your team asks. And because the whole show is driven by requests, engagement is built in: the guests decide what happens next. For hybrid or recorded events, we can also feed audio to your AV team so remote attendees hear the show clearly.

Holiday party season

November and December fill up fast in the South Bay and on the Peninsula. If your holiday party has a date, reach out early so we can hold it. We can mix holiday favorites into the first set and then move on to the year's biggest hits.

Areas we cover

San Jose, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Oakland, San Carlos and nearby.
