Dueling pianos in Reno & Lake Tahoe
Mountain weddings, resort ballrooms and corporate retreats at the lake call for entertainment that travels well and fills a room. We bring two pianos, two singers and our full production over the hill and set up anywhere from a casino ballroom to a lakeside lodge.
Resort-ready
The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe is on our performed-for list, and we are used to resort load-ins, timelines and banquet teams.
Weddings at elevation
We can start with quieter dinner music and build into the full show once the dance floor opens.
Retreats and incentive trips
An interactive closing-night show gives teams a shared moment after a long day of meetings or skiing.
Experience on both sides of the state line
James has performed at Harrah's Lake Tahoe and plays Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, and The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe is on our performed-for list, so we know how casino and resort events run: banquet captains, strict load-in windows, and shows that start exactly on time.
Destination weddings
Couples come to Tahoe for the scenery and want a reception that matches it. We can play soft piano during dinner on a lakeside deck, then turn the reception into an all-request party. Requests are a great way to blend two families from different places, since everyone gets to pick a song.
Corporate retreats and ski weeks
Northstar, Palisades, Incline and Stateline host a lot of company offsites. A dueling piano show is an easy closing-night event that needs no planning from your team: just a room and power.
Planning for the mountains
For winter dates we allow extra travel time over the summit and keep your planner updated if chain controls are in effect. For summer outdoor events, we plan shade and wind protection for the gear.
Reno events
Reno brings its own crowd: casino parties, university events, and a growing number of breweries and event spaces downtown and in Midtown. We can do a full two-piano show or a solo set.
Choosing the right show size for the lake
Smaller cabin parties and rehearsal dinners often work best with a solo pianist and singer, while receptions of 80 or more guests and corporate groups get the most out of the full two-piano show. Lodges and resorts usually have banquet rooms that fit our setup easily; private homes need a little more planning for stairs and decks. Tell us about the space, the guest count and the timeline, and we will recommend a setup and put the travel details in your quote so there are no surprises.
Song requests mountain crowds love
Tahoe weddings and retreats bring people in from all over, so the request pile is wide: John Denver and Country Roads, Garth Brooks, Journey, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, and whatever is on the radio this month. Ski-week groups love the big singalongs late in the night. For weddings we can learn a specific song for your entrance or first dance and add a few songs that mean something to each family. Nothing is pre-programmed, so the show feels like it belongs to your group.
