Dueling pianos in Amador County: Jackson, Plymouth & the Shenandoah Valley
Amador County events run at their own pace: long afternoons in the Shenandoah Valley vineyards, dinners off a historic Main Street, and parties that move indoors once the foothill evening cools down. Our show fits right in. We start with easy piano while people taste and talk, then hand the set list to your guests once the request slips start coming in.
Plymouth and Shenandoah Valley wineries
Plymouth is the doorway to the Shenandoah Valley, where wineries host club pickups, harvest parties, release weekends and weddings. A two-piano show gives a winery event something members remember all year. We play lawns, crush pads and patios on standard power, and we keep the volume right for tasting-room neighbors and closing times.
Jackson and the Highway 49 towns
Jackson is the county seat. Between its Main Street, Sutter Creek next door and the ranch properties out toward Ione and Pine Grove, there are plenty of halls, barns and private homes hosting birthdays, reunions and holiday parties. Older Gold Rush-era buildings can have narrow doors and steps, so send photos and we will plan the load-in.
Fundraisers and community nights
Service clubs, schools and nonprofits across Amador raise money with dinners and auctions. We can thank sponsors by name, build excitement for the paddle raise, and point request tips toward your cause if you like.
Who you get
Co-founder James Michael Day is a former San Jose Sharks organist, and the Modern Dueling Pianos team played two shows at New Melones Marina in summer 2026, so foothill crowds and outdoor stages are familiar ground.
A smaller option
Not every Amador event needs two pianos. For a tasting-room afternoon, a rehearsal dinner or a ceremony, James plays solo piano and vocals, and his signature piano karaoke is a fun fit for a casual winery crowd or an after-party.
What Amador crowds ask for
Expect classic country, Creedence and the Eagles, Tom Petty, Motown, plenty of Garth and Chris Stapleton, and a few songs for the guests who drove up from the Bay Area or Sacramento. Nothing is pre-set, so the mix is up to the people in the room.

Do you cover both Jackson and Plymouth?
Yes, along with the rest of Amador County, including Sutter Creek, Ione, Amador City, Fiddletown and Pine Grove.
Can you play outdoors at a winery?
Yes. We need a level spot about 16 by 12 feet, standard power, and some cover from the afternoon sun.
Is there a travel fee to Amador County?
Any travel is included in the quote we send for your venue and date.
Can you work around our winery event schedule?
Yes. Send the timeline and we will keep it mellow during tastings or dinner, then bring the full show after.
